Welcome to ProclaimtheTruth.net. My Name is Brian Dufala.  The primary purpose of this site is to glorify God through a straightforward and accurate proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is my hope as the author of this site to be used by God in leading people to Christ. While this site obviously has the general aim of leading visitors of the site to Christ, it will also be a tool used locally in evangelism in Pinellas County, FL.

So, the first question that comes to mind is why name the site Proclaim the Truth? The reason for the name is because we live in a world that is head deep in relativism. Everywhere you turn, from Oprah to the guy in the coffee shop, someone is telling you that there are many truths and many ways to God. And the truth is something quite different. The reality is that God has made clear that there is only one way to Him. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.” Jesus would not allow us to treat him as just another religious figure. No, he made clear that we would be divided by those who know Him and those who do not.

So it is quite purposeful that I named the site as I did. Jesus himself is fundamentally the truth; He is the only truth. By proclaiming the gospel, I am proclaiming the truth.

What I Believe:

It has been a journey for me over the last ten years to come to a well developed understanding of right theology. Rest assured it is something I take very seriously. God has given me a passion for the Bible and I aim to be obedient in that calling. For a detailed listing of what I believe, I agree with the same statement of faith found here at Monergism.com.

My Story:

I grew up in a church.  And I have spent more hours listening to sermons than most people.  I’ve had more opportunities to know and understand the truth than most.  And yet, despite my familiarity with religion, it was all lost on me.  I was no closer to being saved than the drunk passed out on the street.  In fact, I was all the more damnable.  However, as I grew older, I began to realize something was off.  As it turns out, this is quite common in our cultural Christianity.  I was at a crossroads that provided three paths.  First, I could “rededicate” my life to Christ and carry on the same religious routine.  I could reject Christ and live out my life in decadence.  Or, I could come to know the true Christ.  Thankfully, due to the grace of God I came to know the true Christ.  I repented of my sins and believed in Christ.  Understand; some might call this “rededicating” my life to Christ.  I can’t because I did not truly know Him before.  Instead, I dedicated my life to Him for the first time.  The harsh reality is that there are pastors preaching in churches in America that are not saved.  God does not save those who deserve to be saved because no one deserves to be saved.  No, we deserve to go to hell.  God saves those who are “humble and contrite in spirit.”  It was only when I realized my religion could not saved me that I came to Christ seeking mercy. And it was only when I came to God on His terms that He did in fact save me.
